The Asus ZenFone Max is now up for sale via Flipkart and Amazon, more than a week after it was launched and available for pre-bookings. The new handset can be bought in exchange of Rs 9999.
The main talking point of the Asus ZenFone Max is its 5000mAh battery, which doubles up as a powerbank via a USB OTG connector. It’ll be competing with the Marathon M5 and M5 Lite, which also perform the same function and come with a 6020mAh and 4000mAh unit, respectively. The Gionee phones are more expensive, with the former priced at Rs 17999 and the latter at Rs 12999.
The Asus smartphone’s 5000mAh battery is supposed to last for 37.6 hours of talk time and 38 days of standby time. The device’s back panel has been dressed up in embossed leather, while its front surface enjoys Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The handset powers through its operations with a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 processor and an Adreno 306 GPU.

As for the photography skills of the ZenFone Max, users will be able to click images through a 13MP PixelMaster rear camera which has been equipped with dual-LED Real Tone flash, an aperture of f/2.0, zero shutter lag, a Toshiba sensor, a blue glass filter and laser autofocus. A 5MP front-facing shooter with an 88-degree wide-angle lens allows consumers to squeeze in more people for selfies.
