A major head turner at this year’s CES was no doubt the Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML which is distinguished by the fact that it is the world’s first smartphone to come with 4GB worth of RAM onboard. With April 23 having been announced as the launch date of this handset in India, we have decided to take a deeper look at the kind of features it has on offer.

Firstly let us clear up the confusion that has been caused due to the various versions of the device that have been revealed so far. Firstly, there’s the Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML model which itself exists in two different variants, one with 2GB of RAM and an Intel Atom Z3560 CPU and the other with 4GB of RAM and an Intel Atom Z3580 CPU.

Lastly, there’s the low-end ZE500CL model which will ship with a 5-inch 720p HD display, an Atom Z2560 CPU and 2GB of RAM.

We don’t know what has triggered Asus to craft so many models of the same phone and yet grant them such difficult names, but let us move forward and talk about the high-end Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML with a 4GB RAM module. This phone, as we mentioned, features a 5.5-inch 1080p full HD monitor.
