Owing to the success of the first generation lineup, the Asus Zenfone 2 series will be making a quick debut in India. While rumors already pegged April as the month of launch, the company has officially revealed that the new handsets will arrive by the end of next month.
No exact price or release date has been provided, except for a small press note from the OEM teasing the series’ launch. The Asus Zenfone 2 lineup comprises of three smartphones in total with more expected to arrive in the future. Currently, there are two devices with 5.5-inch displays and one with a 5-inch screen and we expect to see the entire range arrive in India.
The ZE500CL model from Asus is the smallest and a lower-end release. It can be considered as a refresher to the popular Zenfone 5, but not quite a successor since only visual changes are onboard. The phone has a 5-inch HD display with Gorilla Glass 3 for visuals, while a 1.6GHz dual core Intel Atom Z2560 processor delivers the steam.

Additionally, the handset runs on Lollipop and for memory, it offers 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and a microSD card slot. Other features include a 2500mAh battery, HSPA+, an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front shooter. The Zenfone 2 ZE550ML and ZE551ML models are identical in design, but have slightly modified hardware.

There’s around an entire month left for the Asus Zenfone 2 series to reach India, but the wait will be well worth considering that the devices will be super affordable.
