No specific date has been mentioned, but the Asus ZenFone 2 is slated to arrive in India ‘soon,’ to give prospective buyers in the country another high-end smartphone to consider. Equipped with a 5.5-inch full HD display and a 64-bit processor, this new device is expected to cost way more than what current-gen ZenFones are selling at right now.
Just like those models, the Asus ZenFone 2 is also expected to be a Flipkart-exclusive when it arrives. Its maker has sent out a statement revealing that the phone is ready to ‘disrupt’ the Indian smartphone market now. It has even been mentioned that the device will be taking on bigwigs like the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Apple’s iPhones.
Asus has moreover added that there will be ‘no waiting for flash sales or invitations’ once its smartphone is out, thus taking a dig at players like Xiaomi, Micromax’s Yu and OnePlus. While the phone exists in 2GB as well as 4GB RAM models, it has been confirmed by the company that it’s the latter variant that will be arriving in India at first.
