The ZenBook 3 laptop and the Transformer 3 Pro were recently launched for India at the Asus Zenvolution event in New Delhi. The devices were announced globally at the Computex 2016 in Taipei earlier this year. They will be up for sale online and in retail stores from October 2016 onwards.
The ZenBook 3 has a 12.7-inch display protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 panel and surrounded by a 7.6mm bezel. Asus has installed a four-speaker Harmon Kardon audio system in it. The touchpad’s top-right corner is occupied by a fingerprint sensor. The laptop has an overall thickness of 11.9mm and weighs a mere 910gm.
Asus claims the ZenBook 3 is fitted with the world’s thinnest 3mm fan in keeping up with its slim body. The UX390UA model that is to be sold in India has the Intel Core i7-7500U processor and 16GB of LPDDR3 RAM. It operates on Windows 10 software. Internal storage can be chosen from the options of 512GB PCIe M.2 or 512GB SATA 3 M.2 SSD.

The Asus ZenBook 3 is said to have a battery life of 9 hours. The powerhouse boasts of a quick charging feature which juices it up to 60% in 49 minutes. The notebook has a USB-C 3.1 and USB 3.0 port, an SD card reader, Wi-Fi, HDMI and VGA slot for connectivity. It will be available in rose gold, blue and gray variants for a price of Rs 147990.
The Transformer 3 Pro is a laptop-tablet hybrid with a detachable keyboard and stylus. The device has a 12.6-inch screen and Harmon Kardon dual-speaker audio system. It has a 13MP rear and 2MP front lens with IR technology. It offers up to 1TB of internal memory via a PCIex4 Gen 3 SSD.
