Asus ROG GX700, ROG Strix GL502 land in India

The Asus ROG GX700 and ROG Strix GL502 have arrived in India for hard-core gamers who are in the market for a high-end gaming laptop. The former will only be sold on request, with the company warning that there is limited stock of it available.

You’ll have to shell out Rs 412990 to get your hands on the Asus ROG GX700. The sky-high cost is the price you’ll have to pay for the world’s first liquid-cooled laptop. The notebook ships with a detachable Hydro Overclocking System cooling module for extreme overclocking which apparently puts it on par with professional gaming desktops.

Asus claims the laptop blows other gaming laptops out of the water even without the separate module. It’s even providing a cool ROG-themed suitcase to carry the two around in. The brand has further stuffed the laptop with premium specs like 16GB of DDR4 RAM, an Intel Core i7-6820HK processor, a 17.3-inch UHD screen, and a dedicated Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 GPU with 8GB of DDR5 VRAM.

The ROG Strix GL502 is no slouch when it comes to gaming either, though it is less powerful than the ROG GX700. It starts at Rs 127990 and will be sold via offline and online stores. The key appeal of the laptop is meant to be its lightweight and compact design, weighing in at 2.2kg and measuring 15.6-inch only.
