The new Asus PadFone mini has been officially launched in India for those wishing to purchase a smartphone and a tablet without breaking the bank. The hybrid device has been tagged at an attractive price of Rs 15999 and it offers the best of both worlds with some pretty good features to boot.

The Asus PadFone mini is as the name suggests, a compact version of the original. This model features a smartphone carrying a 4-inch display which can be docked in the PadFone Station for a complete tablet experience. The handset houses the majority of hardware and it offers visuals at WVGA 800 x 480-pixel resolution.

Like most other Asus devices, this one is also powered by an Intel processor, or a 1.6GHz dual core Atom Z2560 chip, to be precise. There are dual cameras aboard, with the front featuring a 2MP snapper, while the rear has an 8MP sensor.
