Apple has confirmed that it will bring the Watch Series 2 to India on October 7 along with the new iPhone 7 lineup. The device is the next generation of the brand’s smartwatch launched last year and will be priced starting from Rs 32900 onwards.
The Apple Watch Series 2 is equipped with several features that can be enticing for fitness lovers. The primary highlight of the watch is that it has water resistance for up to 50 meters which can allow users to go swimming or surfing without worry. It features built-in GPS that can record distance and rate of outdoor activities like running or cycling.
Using the Activity app in the Watch Series 2, you can track the difference in your speed in various locations on your morning run. The smartwatch can keep an eye on your daily movements and calculate the amount of calories you burn. It also monitors your heartbeats through the Heart Rate sensor.
The Watch Series 2 has a second generation S2 chip that works in combination with a dual-core processor. Apple claims that this pairing makes its smartwatches almost 50 percent faster than those by other brands. The new gadget is provided with a GPU that reportedly contributes to better performance by means of sleeker transitions on the display.

The screen of the Watch Series 2 is supposedly the brightest one used by Apple ever. The watchOS 3 in the device is said to launch apps faster using the watch face or the Dock that can display information from third-party apps, or notifications as per the user’s settings.
The built-in battery of the Apple Watch Series 2 claims to last for up to 18 hours between charges. The wearable will be available in gold, silver, rose gold and gray variants. An Apple Watch Edition with a white ceramic design will also be offered in India.
