It seems that Apple is on the verge of joining hands with the prominent mobile phone gaming developers to announce the availability of premium games on the App Store. Apparently it is said that Apple is planning to add a new section for the premium game titles.
According to PocketGamers, Apple plans to introduce the new section in June at the Worldwide Developers Conference. It also says that the new section will contain games introduced by famous publishers rather than titles developed by small gaming developers.
Currently App Store consists more than 1500 games and also many games are offered free. The new section may contain only those games that can be sold for about $20 so you can expect few fantastic games at the App Store.
However Apple has not commented on this rumor yet but games happen to be the most popular type of application in the App Store. The concept of adding new section might boost the spirit of game developers for creating interesting games for the iPhone and iPod touch.
