Apple iPhone and iPod touch get full version of Metal Gear Solid Touch

Metal Gear Solid Touch Game

The full version of Metal Gear Solid Touch game is being presented on the Apple App Store now, according to a recent announcement by Konami Digital Entertainment. The setting for the game is the world of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. It was produced with the notion of giving gamers the experience of the world of Metal Gear Solid. This highly awaited full version of the game offers eight additional gameplay levels to the iPhone and the iPod touch.

Metal Gear Solid Touch was developed by Kojima Productions and is designed specifically for the iPhone and iPod touch. Old Snake, one of the characters in the game, is prevented time and again from completing his mission throughout the twenty stages of the game, during which five chapters unfold. As the story comes to an end, the characters unveiled in the last eight stages feature new abilities. Thus they could be clubbed into a separate league of their own. Simple “tapping” won’t help you surmount the obstacles presented in this game as you have powerful villains like the remainder of the “B&B Corps” and the dreaded Gekko, coupled with challenges such as piloting Metal Gear REX in battle. The plethora of new elements will ensure that players’ strategy and insight are well tested.

Players can shake their iPhone in order to attack while in the Mantis Boss Battle stage. They can unlock the Survival Mode on clearing all 20 stages. In this mode, players play stages one after the other without restocking their life gauge.

There is one more added bonus in the game. Players will have access to over 30 original wallpapers available from Drebin’s shop. They can earn Drebin points based on their score at the end of each stage. The artwork featured on the wallpaper include unreleased illustrations by Metal Gear Solid character designer, Yoji Shinkawa, gorgeous 3D CG, as well as images that were designed using Metal Gear Solid as a motif.

For those who have already installed the initial release of this game on their phones, the complete version can be updated for free now. Whereas, those who are yet to purchase this action-packed game, the complete version is available for purchase from the Apple App Store on the iPhone and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore/. Players who want to sample the Metal Gear Solid Touch will soon have a free version of the game, Metal Gear Solid Touch Lite.
