We already knew that the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C are coming to India on November 1, but Apple had chosen to keep all the other details regarding their availability in the country under wraps. Nevertheless, the information are out now. Reliance and Airtel are the two network operators who have announced that they will be selling the gadgets in the country starting from the said date.
The exact price details of both the iPhone 5S as well as the iPhone 5C have not been disclosed, however, we do know that the former will be available for a starting price of Rs 54,000, while the latter will set you back by around Rs 42,000. As we had reported earlier, the first ever colorful Apple smartphone is not so cheap after all. Its price is on par with some of the flagship Android devices.
The on contract price of the iPhone 5C 16 GB in the US has been tagged at $99 and that of the 32GB stands at $199 with a two-year customer agreement and qualifying data plans. The carrier-locked 16GB, 32GB and 64GB iPhone 5S is pegged at $199, $299 and $399, respectively. As for the unlocked versions, the 5C can be grabbed for either $549 or $649 and the 5S comes for $649, $749 and $849 based on the memory capacity.
Both the iOS 7 platform-based Apple devices will be made available in India in less than three weeks through major retailers. The company will reveal the costs of all the versions of the iPhone 5S as well as the iPhone 5C closer to the launch.
