iPhone users can get ready to burn rubber with a freebie racing game from the Apple’s AppStore. A free version of PicoGP Lite for the iPhone is being offered on the AppStore in celebration of the start of racing season. Its full version dubbed PicoGP is also available for purchase on the AppStore.
This F1 racing title developed by Mad Monkey Studio is apparently easy enough to play for those who’ve flicked marbles when they were kids. Players must select their gear, find the optimum trajectory and flick the car with their finger. Racers must anticipate curves and choose the best trajectory to win since only one gear can be switched per turn.
The full version of this game has unlockable cars featuring unique characteristics that enable players to select their own driving styles. Those who complete three championships are awarded the Dominator. Players can challenge their Facebook friends to the game or even use the time trial mode to perfect their laps. All game modes can be played with up to five friends on one iPhone.
PicoGP is out on the AppStore at a special price of $0.99.
