AOC has launched a 7-inch and a 9.7-inch tablet, setting the foundation for its Breeze series in India and at the same time, it has outlined the slates’ price details as well. On the release date front, the manufacturer has only revealed that both devices will be hitting availability status by the end of this month, but a fixed date hasn’t been given out as of now.
By the looks of it, the 7-inch slate (MG70DR-8) and the 9.7-inch slab (MG97DR-16) can be differentiated based on the screen territory and resolution that they have to offer, the inbuilt memory and the onboard battery. The former’s display comes with a 1,024 x 600 pixel resolution, while the latter can be spotted bearing a 1,024 x 768 monitor.
The onboard storage capacity in the MG70DR-8 amounts to 8GB and that in the MG97DR-16 sums up to 16GB; probably what the last digit in each of their model numbers stands for. A 3,000mAh battery fuels the former, whereas the latter has been bundled with a whopping 7,000mAh power pack.
Both devices rock Android Jelly Bean out of the box. Each accommodates a 1.5GHz dual core ARM Cortex A9 processor which is assisted by 1GB of DDR3 RAM. The CPU moreover drags a quad core Mali 400 GPU into the chassis.
Their rear panels individually host a 2MP snapper, whilst the fronts have been presented with a VGA webcam. If we look into the connectivity aspect, they both provide support for Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and a mini-HDMI port.
The smaller slab amongst both the AOC Breeze tablets has been pegged at Rs. 7,990. The slate touting a 9.7-inch display has taken up a retail tag of Rs. 12,990 which is understandable considering the asking amounts of Zync’s 9.7-inch offering and the EAFT Destiny D90T.
