Android 4.4.3 KitKat reportedly being cooked up by Google, features leak

Following chatter about a fresh update to the latest version of Google’s OS being almost ready for deployment, we now have an alleged changelog of the Android 4.4.3 KitKat release. Meant only for quashing bugs that are present in the current version, this update will obviously not introduce any new features to the software.

Android Police was handed out this list of changes dominant in the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update by one of its sources. As expected, it will feature a fix for the battery draining issue caused by a faulty process. Those experiencing frequent data connection dropouts as well as issues with the Power Manager display wakelock, random reboot and Wi-Fi auto-connect can hope to gain some respite with this update.

Some users of the previous OS are reporting focus problems with the camera in both regular and HDR modes. Google supposedly also plans to fix this issue along with other camera-related bugs. The glitch which causes app shortcuts to vanish sometimes following their updates will be addressed as well according to the leaked changelog. There’s no word as to when the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update will be released by Google. Once it is out though, owners of Nexus and Google Play Edition devices can expect to receive it immediately.
