Yesterday, us folks at Mobiletor were privileged to attend the Extravaganza Mumbai ’08 exhibition which showcased Indian as well as international high-end brands all under the same roof.
In keeping with the theme of the whole show, luxury brands Vertu and Amosu were the only mobile phone brands that set up shop here.
While Vertu is a well known brand in India and is available at select retail outlets in the country, Amosu was one which we had never heard of before.
The shine, glamour and sparkling décor of the Amosu store was something that initially caught our eye. On closer inspection and a chat with Amosu’s friendly representative from the UK, we got to know that the brand was one which takes ordinary phones and customizes them in gold, silver, diamonds and all things fancy.
On display was a Limited Diamond Edition BlackBerry smartphone, an iPhone which was also fully covered in diamonds and several other phones. A classy Nokia N95 was also on display.
The store representative was very careful while handling these phones and even donned a pair of white gloves to handle them with care.
Basically, Amosu takes high-end phones and customizes them even further for people who like to be different and especially for those who feel that their Solitaire diamond ring isn’t enough already!
The company also crafts special gold and silver diamond encrusted bluetooth headsets to match your diamond dripping mobile phone!
You must be prepared though to shell out an enormous sum on the lines of something between 45,000 pounds to 75,000 pounds.
