Already available for the iPhone, this software helps users by comparing the prices of various items in the store to that of the same goods online at Amazon.com as well as over two million online retailers.
The application covers almost all categories of things such as toys, electronics, apparels and home appliances among many others. Through this app, users are able to scan the barcodes on products and receive their different rates along with their detailed descriptions across numerous online stores including Amazon. They can click a picture of the desired item and instantly match the photo to DVDs, books, video games, CDs and other such products.

Since Amazon is widely known for its vast selection and low prices, Price Check for iPhone quickly became one of our most popular apps following its release last November, which is why we’re excited to expand the app to the growing number of Amazon customers using Android phones,” stated Sam Hall, director of Amazon Mobile.
Besides allowing handset owners to type in the items’ names, this new Amazon app also supports voice recognition for conveying the product name orally as well. They can then buy the product either from the store or online, according to whichever price tag they feel is apt. This can be done with just a simple single click while on the move. The products opted for can be expected to land directly to their doorstep.
The Amazon Price Check app is capable of working on devices running Android 2.1 or higher and is now available for free at the Android Market.
