Airtel’s Rs 999 postpaid plan offers 50GB data, unlimited calling

Airtel’s got a new scheme up its sleeve to entice heavy-duty customers who burn through data at a fast clip. Its latest Rs 999 myPlan Infinity postpaid pack dishes out 50GB of data.

The plan can be taken up by old and new users alike. Rs 999 will get them 50GB of 3G/4G data, unlimited local and STD calls, and free roaming incoming/outgoing calls. They’ll even get to take advantage of Airtel’s data rollover promise.

The initiative makes sure any leftover data is carried forward to the next billing cycle, so there’s no wastage of available data. Airtel is also throwing in its Secure insurance scheme for a period of 6 months. While it’s active, customers will be able to get their handset repaired from an authorized service center if there’s any liquid or accidental damage.

Airtel had previously launched a similar Rs 999 plan for its prepaid base back in September. However, that particular deal served up a whopping 112GB of data. Users were restricted to using 4GB of data a day though, a condition which the postpaid plan does not include. If someone does exhaust the latter’s 50GB limit, data will be priced at 50p per MB.

Reliance Jio has its own Rs 999 postpaid tariff which hands over 90GB of 4G data sans daily data restrictions, free SMSes and calling, and access to Jio apps free of cost. The brand plans to announce new packs on October 19 and is currently running a 100% cashback scheme on a Rs 399 recharge.
