Airtel is stepping up the pressure on Reliance Jio with a brand new plan which offers a number of benefits for just Rs 9. Prepaid users who opt for the pack will get unlimited local, STD, and roaming calling, 100MB of data, and 100 SMSes.
The catch here is that the deal is only valid for a day. This is fair, as the tariff is extremely low for the perks being offered. The plan has presumably been designed for people who just want an extra boost for a day rather than a long-term pack which lasts for multiple days.
Airtel’s Rs 9 deal can be availed via the telecom operator’s website and app under the Combo Offer section. If 1 day isn’t enough, the company also has a Rs 23 plan in place. This particular deal gives away the same unlimited local, roaming, and STD calling and 100 SMSes, but increases the data benefits to 200MB.
For those actually seeking something more long-term, Airtel has a Rs 93 plan which provides unlimited calls, 100 SMSes, and 1GB of data spread across 28 days. Then there’s the firm’s Rs 149 pack which ups things to 1GB of data per day for the same time period, totaling 28GB in all.

It should be noted that Airtel limits its unlimited calling to 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week. The closest Reliance Jio has to offer when it comes to cheap plans is a Rs 19 pack which serves up 20 SMSes, unlimited calling, and 150MB of data.
