Airtel’s new plan offers 300GB data for 360 days

Airtel has announced a brand new combo plan for its prepaid customers which gives away a whopping 300GB of data. It covers 360 days, which works out to less than 1GB per day. The company hasn’t actually mentioned if there are any daily restrictions in place, but there probably aren’t any.

You’ll have to cough up Rs 3999 if you want to go for Airtel’s latest initiative. Other than 300GB of data, you’ll get your hands on unlimited local and STD calls as long as they’re non-commercial, free outgoing national roaming, and 100 free SMSes per day.

Airtel’s plan competes directly with Reliance Jio’s Rs 4999 prepaid tariff. For that much, you’d get 350GB of data, unlimited calls, free access to Jio apps, and unlimited SMSes for 360 days. Comparing both, you could either opt for the cheaper Rs 3999 plan and get 50GB less data or pay Rs 1000 and get that much more data.

If you don’t want to shell out that much cash for an entire year, you can opt for Airtel’s Rs 1999 or Rs 999 options. The first serves up the same benefits, but promises 125GB data for 180 days. The second drops down to 60GB for 90 days.

Going even lower, Airtel has a brand new Rs 449 scheme that serves up 1GB of 3G/4G data per day, unlimited local and STD calls, 3000 SMSes, and free outgoing roaming calls. It’s valid for 70 days, so you’ll get 70GB all-in-all. The company’s existing Rs 349 pack has gotten a boost too, now offering 1.5GB/day for 28 days for a total of 42GB.
