Airtel has a new Monsoon Surprise offer going on which gives away 30GB of 4G data for free to all its postpaid subscribers. The deal is stretched out over the course of 3 months, with the brand dividing the bonus data into 10GB increments per month.
To recap, Airtel previously had a Surprise offer in place during March under the very same terms and conditions. This was then extended with another Holiday Surprise in April offering the same 30GB of free 4G data. The company’s latest Monsoon Surprise continues this trend.
Users can take advantage of Airtel’s bounty by logging into the My Airtel app and tapping on the promotional message which asks them to claim their surprise. They’ll then be redirected to another page to complete the particulars.
Alternatively, consumers can SMS ‘SURPRISE’ to 121. The scheme should get activated within 24 hours of sending the missive. All-in-all, Airtel’s tactics are pretty similar to Reliance Jio’s. The latter too became known for extending its free offer periods over and over again under different names.
That’s all at an end now, with Reliance Jio presenting users with paid prepaid and postpaid plans. Free data is still up for grabs, but it’s usually on the condition of recharging a certain amount of cash. Most telecom operators have taken a similar approach in order to retain subscribers who now have a wealth of options to choose from.
