Bharti Airtel has announced a new tie-up with smartphone manufacturer OnePlus, letting its customers get a hands-on experience of the Chinese brand’s flagship phone. The offer will be available in 50 stores starting from September 4.
Only customers in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore can take advantage of this initiative for now, with Airtel saying it will expand the scheme to other 4G-enabled cities soon. Along with getting a feel of the OnePlus 2, people will also get the chance to score an invite for the highly sought-after handset.
To grab an invitation, existing subscribers have to upgrade their SIM card to a LTE-ready one, while non-Airtel users have to buy a 4G postpaid connection. Since it has a limited number of invites, the telecom operator is handing them out on a first-come first-serve basis.

This isn’t the first time the China-based OnePlus has collaborated with an Indian company to attract potential customers. It recently paired up with taxi-hailing app Ola Cabs to allow riders to get a personal experience of its flagship device. They could take up the offer by using a special recharge code.
