Airtel now offers a 300Mbps broadband plan

Airtel has launched a brand new 300Mbps broadband plan in India, tripling its previous fastest speed of 100Mbps. The company is limiting the scheme to select circles in India, so it might not be available everywhere immediately.

Another caveat arrives in the form of the fact that customers can only opt for the 300Mbps plan if they have a Airtel V-Fiber connection. The pack is priced at Rs 2199 per month. For that much, FTTH (Fiber-To-the-Home) subscribers will get 1200GB of data and unlimited STD and local calling benefits.

To recap, Airtel had launched its V-Fiber platform nearly a year ago, promising max speeds of 100Mbps. The company claims the service is a hit with customers and plans to expand its current FTTH offering over the next couple of days.

All the benefits which Airtel is bundling with its current plans are available with the new 300Mbps one as well. This includes data rollover, which allows users to carry forward their unused data to the next month. There’s also a free subscription to Wynk Music and Airtel TV on offer here.

Airtel is even throwing in a free subscription to Amazon Prime in the bargain. If an individual buys the plan online, they’ll get 1TB of bonus data which will be valid until October 31. If they add their Airtel Postpaid and Digital TV connection to their broadband account, they can benefit from myHome rewards.
