Acer unveils new Windows 10 laptops in India

Windows 10 was only launched a week ago and Acer has taken the lead by unveiling the first wave of devices integrated with the software, the Aspire E5-573, Aspire V Nitro-Black Edition and Aspire R13 laptops. The notebooks are out now and can be bought through select LFR stores across India in addition to online retailers.

First up is the budget Acer Aspire E5-573, starting at Rs 26499. The notebook is available in 14-inch and 15.6-inch variants and features a 3D-scanned textile pattern on its A-cover and D-cover. It runs on a fifth generation Intel Core processor coupled with an NVIDIA GeForce 920M series GPU. The device can support up to 1TB of HDD storage and 16GB of RAM.

The Acer laptop has the brand’s own TrueHarmony audio technology, optimized for Window’s new virtual voice assistant, Cortana. It further comes with a Bluelight Shield enhancement that reduces the amount of blue light emitted by the display, leading to less eye strain for users. Also making an appearance are the company’s Precision Touchpad and Accidental Contact Mitigation technology.

Next up is the Aspire V Nitro-Black Edition, whose base price begins at Rs 110000. It has a 15-inch IPS 4K UHD screen and a fourth generation Intel Core i7 CPU. The gaming notebook’s graphics are handled via an NVIDIA GeForce GTX960M GPU. Sound is outputted through the Dolby Digital Plus Home Theater with 4 speakers. Its DustDefender technology prevents the buildup of dirt inside the system.

Finally, we come to the flexible Aspire R13, weighing in at a light 1.5kg and possessing a slim profile measuring 17.95mm in thickness. The device’s 13.3-inch display is attached to a unique Acer Ezel Aero Hinge which allows it to be rotated up to 180 degrees. Users can position it in 6 different ways namely, Stand, Notebook, Tent, Ezel, Pad and Display. Its value starts at Rs 89999 and varies based on the specifications chosen.

All three Acer laptops are Skype-certified, which means their audio and video components have been designed to ensure an environment optimized for communication. They also feature the brand’s Purified Voice technology, leading to an improved speech accuracy of up to 97%.
