Announced last month, the Acer Allegro Windows Phone appears set to retail in the UK from December 1 via Expansys. The smartphone running on the Windows Phone 7.5 platform, comes dressed in two color options of iceberg white and dark blue.

While tech world had caught a glimpse of the Allegro at the IFA 2011, it is expected to hit France later this month. Acer’s first Windows Phone is integrated with 8GB internal memory that is capable of being expanded up to 32GB via the microSD card slot and operates on a 1,300mAh battery. It comes embedded with a 3.6-inch WVGA 800 x 480p resolution TFT capacitive touchscreen display and is powered by a 1GHz single core Qualcomm MSM8255 CPU.

This Acer handset sports a 5MP rear facing camera with LED flash and autofocus. It offers support to a variety of connectivity options such as 3G, EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Bluetooth 2.1 and USB 2.0. The smartphone is capable of lending support to various audio and video formats including MP3, WAV, WMA, eAAC+ player, MP4, WMV, H.264 and H.263 player. Weighing 126g, the device is also known as the Acer W4 or Acer M310. It comes with support for HTML web browser and is integrated with social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

The Acer Allegro price is £259.99 and it’s now available for pre-order online at Expansys. It will start shipping in the UK from December 1.
