The Samsung Galaxy Tab Iris has been launched in India with an eye on the government and corporate sectors here. As suggested by its name, the Make in India tablet boasts of advanced biometric capabilities thanks to its iris scanner.
The Lollipop-running Samsung Galaxy Tab Iris has been attached with a decidedly mid-range Rs 13499 price tag. The company hopes that the tablet’s biometric technology will help further the reach of Digital India by delivering a cashless and paperless service in banking and eGovernance to people across the country.

It claims the device can be used in various government benefit programs such as the Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) and National Health Mission (NHM).
