Updated Google Drive for iOS and Android allows users to edit and comment

The update version of the Google Drive for iOS and Android app has been rolled out with a handful of new features. And in the near future, the company plans on introducing native editing and real-time association for Google spreadsheets.

As hinted earlier, iPad and iPhone owners will now be able to edit Google documents straight from their devices, just like the way it can be done on the Android app. This upgrade allows users to access presentations including speaker notes. It offers content in full-screen and supports swipe gestures for switching between slides.

Updated Google Drive App

“Every day, more and more people are choosing to live online and get things done in the cloud. Helping to make this experience as seamless as possible, Google Drive is one place where you can create, share and keep all your stuff. Drive is available on the web, as well as Mac, Windows and Android and iOS,” commented Anil Sabharwal, Senior Product Manager on the official Google blog.

The company has included options to create new folders and relocate files in order to lend a hand in managing content. Moving on to the update for Android devices, users will be able to add and reply to comments posted on their Google documents. Additionally, the upgrade will provide the ability to view tables as well as presentations and organize files.

Those who haven’t downloaded the updated Google Drive for iOS and Android app yet can pick it up via the Play store.
