Defense Net iPhone Game

iPhone users can now enjoy sci-fi game right on their Apple device. Game developer 21-6 Productions recently introduced a new iPhone game dubbed Defense Net 1.0, a unique color matching game wherein the player is in charge of defending our solar system against alien attacks.

Players gain points by capturing imminent missiles in the Defense Net and collapsing groups of adjacent colored cells. They can rotate the Defense Net and match incoming missiles with cells of the same color, with their fingers. A cluster of 3 or more matching colors will collapse. The game features five types of missiles to shield against, Speeders which travel faster than ordinary missiles, Painters which changes the color of the cell they hit, and Eliminators which collapse all cells of the same color.

“In 2002 we released our first puzzle game Cyclone. Our publisher at the time talked us out of a sci-fi theme and the game lost a lot of its heart. Seven years later, we are excited to bring back the original game on our own terms and have found the touch screen interface of the iPhone to be a perfect fit!” quoted 21-6 President, Justin Mette.

21-6 Productions aim to enhance Defense Net with updates like new game modes, innovative locations to defend, new missile and cell types and also support for community leader boards and achievements.

The iPhone game is available exclusively via the Apple App Store for $0.99. A free lite version of the game is also available.
