The popular Asus Zenfone 5 smartphone has been given a price cut in India which means the 16GB model is now just Rs 500 costlier than the 8GB version. The new retail tag is Rs 9999 which is a decent reduction from the previous amount of Rs 12499.

The new rate has already taken effect on Flipkart, but only for the black model, while the other options are still on sale at the earlier amount. The Asus Zenfone 5 has earner a lot of popularity in India and the reduction in its retail tag could possibly mean that a successor is on its way. The company has already revealed its next generation lineup which comprises of handsets with some pretty impressive specs and designs.
