Apparently over 55000 meals were ordered within 1 day, with Zomato doubling that figure to 110000. The app plans to gain more capacity and give its restaurant partners some time to breath before starting the scheme up again. Another major startup involved in the relief efforts is Ola Cabs, which has started a boat service on its platform.

Ola introduced the offering 2 weeks ago, sending out boats with professional fishermen and rowers to save people in flooded areas. In a blog post, it provided information about the safety zones which it helped to organize for victims. The centers are open to all and have relief supplies like food and medicine.
