The HTC One A9 and Desire 828 dual SIM have been launched in India, with the company hoping to ship the handsets to the country within two weeks. The Taiwan-based brand said it will begin selling the phones by December and plans to announce the price of the devices closer to its release date.
Only the 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM version of the 4G-ready HTC One A9 is coming to India for now. The company may bring the cheaper 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM variant here in the future. The smartphone was widely compared to the Apple iPhone when it was launched due to the similarity in design between the 2 phones.
The One A9 runs the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box with a layer of Sense UI on top. HTC promises to deliver software updates to the phone within 15 days of the Nexus range receiving it. The company has further equipped it with built-in DAC to transform 16-bit sound to 24-bit high-resolution audio.
