The Intex Cloud Zest, the latest addition to its series of affordable smartphones, has been launched in India. The phone hasn’t been officially announced yet but is currently listed on the brand’s website priced at Rs 4999.
The main talking point of the Intex Cloud Zest is its huge 4000mAh battery. The company guarantees it can last for 500 hours of standby time and 15 hours of talk time. The handset’s other specs are pretty respectable for its market segment. The phone carries a 5-inch IPS 720p display and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
A 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC7731 processor grants power to the Cloud Zest. In terms of memory, the smartphone packs 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. Users can further expand the latter up to 32GB via a microSD card. Coming to its photography department, the device houses a 5MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash.

There’s also a 2MP front-facing snapper for selfies and video calls. Connectivity options consist of Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0 and GPS. The dual-SIM Intex phone supports the 2G network on 1 SIM and 3G on the other. It measures 146 x 74 x 10.3mm and weighs 152g. The handset is available in black, champagne and white colors.

The Intex Cloud Zest will be competing against other entry-level phones with 4000mAh batteries like the Canvas Juice 3. The Micromax device is more expensive at Rs 7014 (eBay India) and has similar features except for its 8MP primary lens and 2GB of RAM.
