Ricoh has developed 2 apps to work with the shooter. The basic one allows users to live stream images, utilize the smartphone as a viewfinder to check details like the white balance, and upload pictures to social networks such as Twitter and Facebook. The Theta+ application offers editing tools to apply filters, create time-lapse videos, and crop snaps.

The Theta S is also compatible with Google Street View, so individuals will be able to upload their photos directly to Google Maps. Going into its specs, the camera comes with a microUSB port, a mini-HDMI slot and a tripod mount hole. It weighs a light 125g and measures 44 x 130 x 22.9mm in terms of dimensions.

A microphone and speaker can be found on the top of the Ricoh gadget. The right edge carries a capture, Wi-Fi and power button. A shutter unit graces the front surface, alongside LED lights which indicate whether the device is in video recording or camera shooting mode. There’s also a memory warning unit which glows when space is getting depleted.
