One of India’s topmost smartphone sellers Xolo is all set to introduce a new sub-brand named Black which will comprise of affordable 4G smartphones that will only be sold through online channels. It’s not clear whether the company will be adopting the flash sale model or not, but it’s been confirmed that the devices will only be sold via a single yet-to-be-decided e-commerce website.
Xolo is planning to launch its first Black smartphone in June, and although no concrete specs about it aren’t out in the open yet, we do have a few interesting details. The first device from this range will bear on it a dual rear camera setup. The most prominent example of such an assembly is the HTC One M8.
Among a number of other interesting things, a dual camera setup grants you the ability to adjust focus in your images even after they’ve been clicked. Xolo has also revealed that its new Black devices will come pre-installed with the Hive 1.5 UI, an updated version of the user interface it launched last year via some of its devices.
This iteration will be based on the Android 5.0 Lollipop version, which will prove to be a big advantage for the company. Xolo apparently plans to release five to six Black smartphones a year, with all of them bearing 4G LTE support. They will have their retail values set between Rs 8000 and Rs 20000.

Coming to the matter of flash sales, the co-founder and director of Lava International (the company that owns Xolo), Vishal Sehgal has kept things vague right now. He has mentioned that the company does not believe in ‘gimmicks’ but has also remained non-committal on whether or not the flash sale model will be adopted.
