Sennheiser releases Urbanite range of headphones in India starting Rs. 15990

The Sennheiser Urbanite series of premium on-ear headphones have made their way into India are also available for purchase through the company itself. A total of three models are currently listed, two offering wired connectivity and the third being wireless.

The Sennheiser Urbanite is the base model here and it’s priced at Rs 15990, making it the cheapest option on the list. This pair of cans is made to be fairly rugged as it features stainless steel hinges and aluminum sliders for a long-lasting design. Premium materials and fabrics have also been used to create a luxurious appearance.

Sennheiser Urbanite XL

It also has a foldable design, making it convenient for you to carry the pair around. The main objective of these headphones is to deliver high quality audio with massive bass, sans any compromise on clarity. The accessory comes with a detachable cable that connects to standard 3.5mm audio jacks and there’s an integrated microphone as well.

Sennheiser has thrown in a 3-button remote control for use with smartphones and tablets. The Urbanite XL is pretty much similar to the base model, but offers larger ear pads to ensure higher levels of comfort. You will have to shell out more, however, for this model as it’s currently retailing at Rs 19999.

And last on the list is the Rs 24990 Urbanite XL Wireless which is precisely what its name suggests. This pair of cans comes with Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC connectivity. It supports apt-X codec for high quality audio playback. According to the company, it can be connected with 8 different devices and used on two simultaneously. As for battery life, a single charge can deliver up to 25 hours of playback or around 15 days of standby.

Urbanite XL Wireless

The Sennheiser Urbanite XL Wireless comes in black only, while the other models offer a wider variety of colors. According to the company, all three options are compatible with most Android devices and you’ll also be able to pick up variants designed specifically for Apple products through its own online store.
