iBall releases Slide i701 tablet bearing a 7-inch display for Rs 4999

Believe it or not – The iBall Slide i701 is a Windows 8.1 tablet which recently went official with a price tag of Rs 4999. This is the cheapest we’ve see in the Windows tablet category and the hardware employed here is pretty good for what you’ll be paying.

The iBall Slide i701 looks like your average tablet from the Indian OEM, but there’s a good chance that it might just be an off-the-shelf product from China. This would explain how the company has managed to keep the cost so low. The devices is said to be eligible for a free update to Windows 10 which will be launched later this year.

Featuring a 7-inch display, iBall tablet is said to deliver HD visuals. The resolution used here could be 1280 x 800 pixels, but we’ve seen companies advertise HD as 1024 x 600 pixels also. It makes sense for the implementing the latter considering the retail tag. What’s more, the panel is of IPS type which should deliver pretty good viewing angles.
