With everyone focusing on the newly launched Yu Yuphoria, the Micromax Canvas Nitro 2 handset’s arrival in the market almost went unnoticed. The phone arrived sans any official word from the company and is also on sale through multiple sources.
The Micromax Canvas Nitro 2 E311 is quite similar to its predecessors, the A310 and A311. The main difference here is that the device has a 1.4GHz octa core processor, while the earlier two phones carried 1.7GHz chipsets. Also, the design has gone from a faux leather finish to a simple mediocre-looking form factor.
The new Micromax phone looks more of a downgrade than a successor. Also, it comes with Android KitKat, while most other releases have Lollipop. And it looks like that there will be a custom theme used for the UI. The handset is your typical mid-range option carrying a 5-inch 720p HD display and dual cameras (13MP main, 5MP secondary).

The Canvas Nitro 2 offers some pretty good memory provisions through 2GB of RAM and 16GB of flash storage. The overall hoarding space can be expanded by up to 32GB more via a microSD card. The phone is also dual SIM enabled and supports HSPA+ networks. Lastly, it has a 2400mAh battery powering things up.
