Huawei releases its 13000mAh power bank in India at just Rs 1399

Huawei has started selling its 13000mAh power bank called the AP007 Honor in India for Rs 1399. It has two USB slots boasting of 5V 2A output and allows users to juice up a couple of devices at once. For those who are wondering how much energy it can hold, an iPhone 6 can be charged 4 times before it gets drained of all its power.

The closest to Huawei’s 13000mAh power bank are the 10400mAh and 10000mAh options by Xiaomi and the makers behind OnePlus, respectively. But while the Xiaomi device was launched and then pulled for some reason that may have little to do with this complaint by the Chinese company, the latter has still to officially release its product (listed on Amazon India currently) in the country.

Apart from the standard USB ports which have been embedded into the 13000mAh Huawei AP007 Honor, there’s a micro USB slot too for charging gadgets. The design language of this power bank is confusingly similar to that of the Xiaomi Mi offering we’ve seen earlier. It’s colored in gray and is of the Lithium-ion battery type. It has short circuit and high temperature protection.

Huawei claims to have put its massive 13000mAh power through height drop tests of 1 meter, vibration and shock tests as well as salt spray and shell pressure tests. Flipkart is listing the Huawei Honor AP007 power bank for the aforementioned cost of Rs 1399 on this page. It is not available right away and is expected to be in stock by May 12.

It should serve as a good option for those who travel a lot and have to desperately hunt for a power outlet way too often.
