Rumor has it that Xiaomi Mi 5 and Mi 5 Plus will be the names of two flagship smartphones which will be made available by the Chinese company later this year. A new set of leaks has just arrived, and it has given us a deep look at the kind of specifications these two handsets will apparently come equipped with.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 will of course, act as successor to the Mi 4, and will mainly be competing against the iPhone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy S6. The leak tells us that it will grab hold of a 5.2-inch display. Although there isn’t any mention of its resolution, past reports have told us that the Chinese company will be taking the QHD leap with its new flagship.
Additionally, this upcoming Xiaomi smartphone is also expected to arrive with a 16MP rear camera. Its Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset will be assisted in its operations by either 3GB or 4GB of RAM, according to the leak. It is also being said that the fresh Xiaomi phone will carry onboard a 3000mAh battery.
GizmoChina has cited reports coming in from Weibo that have mentioned a Mi Plus model as well. It will offer a larger 6-inch panel with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Its other highlights include 4GB of RAM, a 16MP rear camera and optical image stabilization.

As has been revealed in the past, the Xiaomi Mi 5 may be the recipient of a fingerprint scanner as well. But more importantly, its Plus variant will apparently be seen sporting a ‘bezelless’ design.
