As promised, the Asus Zenfone 2 series has made its way into India and the company is offering the new devices with prices starting at Rs 12999. The ZE551ML and ZE550ML variants have made their way into the country for now, both carrying 5.5-inch displays and the latest Intel Bay Trail processors.
And if you’re wondering, the 5-inch ZE500CL option which was previously slated for release in India will not be launching anytime soon and there’s no word on whether the Zenfone Zoom will be arriving either. The Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML model comes in three different versions. The base option has 2GB RAM with 16GB storage and it costs Rs 14999.
The second option has 4GB RAM and 32GB hoarding space for Rs 19999, while the same one with double the storage will set you back by Rs 22999. This Asus smartphone offers a 1080p display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and it’s powered by a quad core Z3580 Intel Atom processor with PowerVR G6430 graphics.

Last on the list is the Zenfone 2 ZE550ML version which looks identical to the ZE551ML, but has a 720p HD display, 16GB storage, 2GB RAM and Intel Atom Z3560 chipset. The rest of the features are more or less the same for both smartphones.
