Lenovo A5000 with an impressive 4000mAh battery gets unveiled in India

A new Lenovo A5000 has popped up out of nowhere as the newest addition to the extremely popular A series of smartphones that the Chinese company is selling right now. This mid-range device is the first from this series to not feature 4G LTE support.

Before this Lenovo A5000 launch, the company recently refreshed it’s A range with the A6000 that has been selling like hotcakes in India since it’s out. The company then went ahead and launched its successor, the A7000 which is highlighted by its Dolby Atmos technology. And then it upgraded the A6000 with a Plus model that offered increased storage and RAM.

The common feature in all these handsets is that they offer 4G LTE support and are sold at extremely affordable prices through Flipkart. As for the Lenovo A5000, it’s still to make its way into India. As has been revealed by Mobiltelefon (via GSM Arena), the device has arrived in Russia for now, and is being sold in the country at RUB 12000 which is approximately Rs 14000.

If and when it arrives in India, that asking amount is expected to drop by more than half, as even its lower-end cousins are being sold here at values like Rs 6999 and Rs 8999. And now for the most important part; what does the new A5000 smartphone pack inside it.

The Lenovo A5000 is still to be announced in India, but we’re assuming it will indeed get released here soon, given the great success the A series is enjoying in the country right now.
