The word is out that the 128GB iPad 4 price could’ve been leaked and that the gadget is currently being prepped up for a future release. It is however said that the device in question may not be a new design, but a ‘premium’ SKU for Apple’s flagship slate which hoists a Retina display.
Just like the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants, the 128GB iPad 4 too may apparently be stepping out of the box in Wi-Fi only and Cellular + Wi-Fi models. According to the rumor, the OEM might come up with 10-pack deals of this device for educational institutions upon its launch.
The picture given below has been revealed by 9to5Mac and the guys claim a ‘high-profile’ US retailer to be the source. As per Apple’s technique of categorizing, the P101 seen in the image stands for Wi-Fi only models and the P103 denotes Cellular + Wi-Fi units of the fourth generation slab.
As mentioned earlier, both variants currently come in three storage configurations. These have been codenamed good, better and best. This is visibly not the case as far as the table is concerned, seeing as a fresh model dubbed ‘ultimate’ has replaced the name-tags in the third column.
The A and B positioned next to the codename represent the color schemes, black and white, respectively. This means that each variant will be drenched in the traditional hues that the company has splashed its products with.
The report also point outs that the new variant might tag along one or more fresh features. With respect to the iPad mini, there’s no information pertaining to a an iteration with similar storage configurations being made available in the near or distant future.
Of course, there are chances that the 128GB iPad 4 may not exist at all, but a tablet possessing an internal memory as such would naturally be welcomed into the market open-heartedly. If the slab is for real, then its price is expected to be around $799 for Wi-Fi and $929 for cellular variants. On the other hand, it is still too early to speak of the release date.
