Just like Xiaomi’s newly launched smartphones, Micromax’s Yu Yureka handset has been hard to get hold of owing to a limited number of units being made available each week through flash sales. And if you’ve had multiple unsuccessful attempts at purchasing the phablet, Amazon wants to help you out.
The e-commerce giant has announced a Golden Ticket sale which will take place today at 2pm and go on up till 5pm. The sale is for those potential customers who have showed interest in purchasing the Yu Yureka, but have been unable to do so due to supply constraints. Basically, you’re getting a free pass to get hold of the phablet at Rs 8999 without dealing with the usual flash sale.
Only registered customers will be eligible for the Golden Ticket event and you’ll be notified if you’ve been granted participation through email. Xiaomi adopted a similar strategy for its Mi 3 flagship, but instead of holding a sale, it automatically added the handset to customer’s carts on Flipkart. Amazon is yet to reveal if there will be any limit to the number of units being offered today.

And if you miss your shot again, the usual flash sale for the Yu Yureka takes place tomorrow. Registrations are still being accepted, but you have only till 2pm to sign up. Seeing as Micromax has been improving its inventory each week, a total of 30000 or 35000 units go up for grabs tomorrow.
