Lava Iris 465 entry-level phone knows 21 Indian languages

The Lava Iris 465 is the latest to join the sub-Rs 5000 segment in India and unlike most other options on the market which have nothing more than basic features to offer in this category, the new release takes pride in being capable of delivering 21 different languages out of the box. The device is priced at Rs 4499 and it runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

The Lava Iris 465 isn’t the first to bring support for so many Indian languages, but it is one of the cheapest options on the market. The handset offers Hindi Gujarati, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Malyalam, Kannada, Marathi and Konkani amongst others. There’s no word on whether any other enhancements have been made to offer a more localized experience.
