The Swipe Marathon is the latest addition to the smartphones available with big batteries, a segment which has been growing in popularity over the past few months. What’s more, the handset is the cheapest option you’ll find as it carries a price of Rs 4599, that is nearly half of what competitors are tagged at.
The handset’s main selling point is the super-size 4000mAh battery. There are no official estimates on how long the Swipe Marathon can keep going on a single charge except for it being able to deliver around 60 days of standby which is pretty impressive. We expect the phone to at least offer over 24 hours of 2G talk time or around 18 to 19 hours on 3G.
You also have to consider that the handset comes with dual SIM card support which adds extra load on the battery when both slots are occupied. Physical details of the Swipe smartphone haven’t been revealed, but the device does look rather bulky. And while the majority of the body is painted white, the sides flaunt a bright gold shade.

It’s pretty clear from the retail tag that you can’t expect much from the Marathon in hardware. What the company has managed to squeeze in is a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, a 1GHz dual core processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB internal storage and dual cameras.
