The Microsoft Lumia 535 has been well received, but it did stumble upon a small hurdle where the touchscreen was said to be buggy. Reports claimed that the display was too sensitive and OEM acknowledged the issue stating that a fix was on the way.
Well, the company has now revealed that the issue will be rectified on December 27 through a software update. WMPowerusers is reporting that the giant will be rolling out the new firmware to the dual SIM Microsoft Lumia 535 smartphone in Vietnam and there’s no information on a wider release of the software.
Nevertheless, Microsoft isn’t going to leave affected users around the globe in the dark and it might just be a slightly longer wait. The touchscreen bug basically causes multi-touch issues as the screen struggles to recognize simultaneous taps and this has led to certain features becoming hard to access. For instance, the swipe keyboard which relies on gestures doesn’t work properly and the ellipse menu is affected as well.

The issue was brought to light earlier this week and some say that disabling the screen magnifier function under the ease of access menu in settings helps reduce the impact. The video below which is in Vietnamese offers a good look at the touchscreen bug.
