Xolo Q900s Plus smartphone with Android KitKat shows up online for Rs 8299

Xolo is soon to launch the Q900s Plus smartphone in India which will go on sale for a price of Rs 8299 and running Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. The handset is being touted as the lightest release in its category as it weighs not more than 100 grams.

The Xolo Q900s Plus is pretty slim as well, at 7.2mm and it’s powered by a Qualcomm processor, the quad core Snapdragon 200 clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 302 graphics. Overall, this SOC is an entry-level one and offers performance similar to that of the S400. The handset in question is basically a rebranded version of the Win Q900s which has been on sale since June.

An Android model of the WP8.1 handset also made its debut a couple of months back, but with lower specs. The upcoming phone basically closes that gap as it offers features identical to the original version. For the amount being asked, you get a 4.7-inch 1280 x 720 pixel IPS LCD touchscreen.

The display is based on the OGS technology and comes with a scratch-resistant Dragon Trail Glass coating. The phone offers an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP snapper on the front. On the inside, there’s 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and an 1800mAh battery.

Xolo Q900s Plus’s key specs can be found below:

– Android 4.4 KitKat
– 4.7-inch 720p HD IPS display
– 1.2GHz quad core processor
– 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, 32GB expandable
– 2MP front camera, 8MP rear snapper
– 1800mAh battery

At Rs 8299, the Xolo Q900s Plus isn’t as appealing as what its previous variants were a few months back. And the new Omega series looks to be a more sensible option as you get better specs and features for just over Rs 1000 more.
