A spanking new Micromax Canvas Xpress A99 will be launched in India for an appealing price of Rs 6999 through what is unarguably the nation’s favorite retail website, Flipkart. The smartphone is set to be made available on December 8 next week only through this online channel.
The Micromax Canvas Express has a 4.5-inch FWVGA touchscreen nailed to its front which is crowned by a 0.3MP webcam. The last mentioned is complemented by a 5MP rear camera with flash. The phone chugs along on a 1.3GHz processor from MediaTek that incidentally brings the HotKnot feature to it.
HotKnot is MediaTek’s version of NFC, theoretically allowing two people with compatible devices (such as this Canvas Xpress) to tap these to each other and exchange data including videos, images, songs and so on. Smart Wake is an unlocking option enabling users to employ personalized gestures to open applications right from their locked screen.
