The word ‘selfie’ has sparked the entry of an entirely new breed of smartphones such as the Xolo Opus 3 which sports a price of Rs 8499 in India. You call a device a selfie phone when it has a good quality front camera accompanied by flash. Without the last mentioned component, it’s just a handset with a decent webcam.
The Xolo Opus 3 has a 5MP front-facing snapper with an 88-degree wide angle lens, flash unit and BSI sensor. The rear casing shows of an impressive 8MP camera powered by Sony Exmor R. It uses dual flash, embeds a 5P Lens design and offers an aperture of f/2.0. All in all, you should get some pretty decent low light performance out of it.
Nailed across the face of the Opus 3 is a 5-inch IPS screen delivering HD resolution visuals. The phone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad core chip of MediaTek origin and 1GB of RAM. It has 8GB of internal memory and room for a 32GB microSD card, should you fall short of hoarding space. Android KitKat 4.4 runs the show here and there are two SIM card slots inside.

This Xolo smartphone does multitasking via a Float Task feature that lets you have more than one app open on the screen simultaneously. There’s also motion control support (enabled with the help of the integrated proximity sensor) which allows you to use the camera, radio, gallery, calls and so on by only employing a wave of the hand.
