The new Public Chats feature on Viber has been described by its developers as something that’s meant to let users discover, share and interact with conversations, communities and content on mobile. These are actually live discussions which will take place with celebrities and personalities whom fans of the app can follow.
Bollywood personalities like Anushka Sharma, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Ayushmann Khurrana and many more have been roped in by the company to showcase this new attribute of Viber in India. Moreover, popular cricketers such as Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and Sachin Tendulkar have also been included in the list, apart from badminton ace, Saina Nehwal.
Any user of the Viber app can follow as many of these Public Chats as they wish to through their smartphones or tablets. It has also been revealed that these public conversations will include multimedia content. This means, aside from text, photographs, audio, video, stickers, web links and more will be available for sharing as well.

Moreover, people will be able to invite their friends to follow the Public Chats in which they may be interested too. The developers of Viber have disclosed that the most popular of such chats will be showcased on the home screen of the new Public Chats section of the app. Owing to this feature, users will able to easily search and find out who is chatting at that very moment.
