Videocon Infinium Z50 Quad Android KitKat handset introduced in India at Rs 7349

The Videocon Infinium Z50 Quad is the latest budget-oriented smartphone from the company and it carries a price tag of Rs 7349. That amount is certainly very attractive, but it’s a tad more than expected, mainly because you can get better features from the competition.

The Redmi 1S from Xiaomi is the obvious main challenger and then comes the Honor Holly from Huawei. The Videocon Infinium Z50 Quad will also have to go up against Lava’s Iris Selfie 50 that offers a mid-range experience with a 5MP front selfie camera and LED flash at just Rs 7699. Even Karbonn and Xolo have attractive devices in the same price range.

Where the new release falls short is its IPS display that’s 5 inches wide, but offers qHD resolution only. Also the rear camera is a 5MP one, while the competition offers 8MP shooters. On the front, the Infinium Z50 Quad sports a 2MP imager for video calling.

Memory provisions are also pretty much standard with 1GB RAM, 8GB flash storage and a microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB being onboard. It also goes without saying that Videocon has thrown in dual SIM support and HSPA connectivity.
